The SSAB is running bi-monthly multi-agency MCA forums in 2026 via Teams. The sessions will be 1 hour long and consist of a short 15-minute presentation around a number of identified themes. The primary aim of the sessions is to provide a forum where practitioners can discuss some of the challenges that they face on the ground with implementation of the Act. As such the presentations are there to stimulate discussion but discussion should not be limited to the theme of each session.
The Forum encourages attendees to bring questions and cases they may wish to discuss whilst maintaining anonymity.
The aim of the sessions is that they will be practitioner led with a focus on practical ways to improve MCA skills and competencies. Participants from all backgrounds are actively encouraged to attend so that we can try an understand how our differing perspectives might impact upon implementation.
